Transfusion related acute lung injury  (TRALI)

Hypoxemia, chills, fever, bilateral pulmonary edema, tachycardia, hypotension

Within 2 hours during transfusion

Bacterial contamination

Shock, fever, DIC, nausea, vomiting, chills, rigors etc.

Yersinia enterocolitica: common cause of post transfusion bacterial sepsis
